  • Coops nye klimakrav til leverandører og produktion



    Coop planlægger at stille en række nye og skærpede krav til deres leverandører som led i deres nye bæredygtighedsstrategi, der sigter mod en klimaneutral fødevareproduktion.



    De fremtidige krav omfatter blandt andet:



    Skrappere dokumentationskrav:

    Leverandørerne vil fremover blive mødt med strengere krav til dokumentation af både deres udfordringer og fremskridt. Dette skal sikre, at de reelt lever op til de grønne løfter, de har givet. I forvejen kræver Coop via deres code of conduct, at leverandørerne opgør deres klimaaftryk og identificerer deres påvirkning af natur, miljø og biodiversitet.



    Målrettede og mere konkrete krav:

    Coop er i øjeblikket i gang med en omfattende risikoanalyse for at lokalisere, hvor dagligvarekoncernens aftryk på klima og natur er allerstørst. Resultaterne fra denne analyse vil direkte danne grundlag for at stille større og mere konkrete krav til leverandørerne på de områder, der batter mest.



    Krav om grønne certificeringer:

    Bæredygtighedschef Trine Rubæk Olsen peger på, at krav om specifikke grønne certificeringer kan komme i spil over for leverandørerne.



    Regenerative principper:

    Coop er åbne over for at kræve, at råvarer skal være dyrket efter regenerative principper. Dette initiativ afventer dog i første omgang, at der i branchen bliver defineret nogle klare standarder for, hvad regenerativt landbrug reelt indebærer.

  • Samtalemiddag er et fedt koncept. Vi samles nogle mennesker, der ikke nødvendigvis kender hinanden, men har et ønske om at samtale om et givent emne. Fredag aften var emnet COOP og dagli’brugserne. Vi var blandt andet inde på: Hvordan overlever de små brugser?
    Hvorfor er COOPs indkøbssystem så rigidt? - Der er varer vi må kører til Superbrugsen i Sakskøbing eller Kvickly i Nykøbing for at købe, da vores brugs er for lille til at få lov til at købe dem. Andre varer kan de købe, hvis de køber et kæmpe parti.
    Med i samtalen var uddeler i Guldborg Brugs, Per, formand for Guldborg Brugs Susan, medlem af bestyrelsen i Guldborg Brugs, Esben, direktør for COOP AMBA, Annette og mig….
    Og der kom masser af inspiration til handling, blandt andet: Lav en slags jatak tilbud inden der købes økologiske kylllinger, så kan alle os, der vil købe, melde ind og dermed kan bestyreren bestille hjem.
